Project Description:

Richmond Academy selected GreenFields to install a 3,297m² sports pitch, just under half the size of a standard full-size football pitch. The new surface was constructed with a high spec 3G tufted product- GreenFields Evolution Pro 60. GreenFields Evolution offers extreme resistance and durability offering a perfect solution for high utilisation pitches like those in schools. For a professional finish, GreenFields also arranged for the pitch to be enclosed within 1.20m high twin bar spectator fencing and gates. 

Part of the Harmony Trust, a multi-academy and school led organisation based in Oldham and Derby with the aim of raising aspirations for local schools, Richmond Academy has worked hard over the past few years achieving an exemplary Ofsted report and their best ever academic results. This latest development of a 3G pitch will further strengthen the school’s reputation providing a state-of-the-art facility for current and future pupils.

GreenFields were selected for the project by being successful in a competitive tender process coordinated by Lancaster Maloney Ltd, who managed the project, and provide consultancy engineering and construction services for the Harmony Trust group.
