Project Description:
GreenFields were selected to supply a water based hockey pitch to Rathdown School, also home to Monkstown Hockey Club (one of the oldest hockey clubs in Ireland). The olive and field green TX pitch with a bright blue run off had a total field size of 95.44m x 61m (5822m²) and playing area of 91.44m x 55m (5029m²). The same GreenFields water based system was utilised for the 2014 Hockey World Cup and has been classified by the FIH (International Hockey Federation) as an optimum surface for competitive tournaments. The school and hockey club opted for this elite surface to ensure students reach their sporting potential as well as offering professional athletes the best conditions to reach their optimum performance levels.
