Lithuania’s Klaipeda Central Stadium gets new B & C fields

GreenFields Evolution Pro installed

The very first GreenFields project in co-operation with our new partner J&E Sports Baltic has been completed in Lithuania.

The home ground of FK Neptūnas, Klaipeda Central Stadium, is located in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The football stadium, originally constructed in 1925, currently has a capacity of 4,428 fans. In March 2022, together with J&E Sports Baltic, we were tasked with replacing the B & C fields. The surface of choice was GreenFields Evolution Pro 40-16.5.

The perfect pitch for the FK Neptūnas players

The stadium needed to be suitable for the very best Lithuanian football players, as FK Neptūnas plays in LFF 1 league. To meet these requirements, we selected our FIFA Quality Pro certified turf system with sand and SBR on a 25 mm E-layer. The total surface is 12.075 m² and consists of a full-size pitch (105 x 68 m) with a youth pitch (68 x 44 m) at the head end.

J&E Sports Baltic removed the old artificial turf, after which our product was installed with the utmost of care and attention to detail. This has resulted in a pitch that will serve the football team and local community for many years to come!
