XtraGrass at Gelredome Stadium

On Monday 3^rd September, the excavation of the retractable pitch at the Gelredome, home of the Dutch Premier League team Vitesse began, with the construction of the new hybrid XtraGrass system commencing the following week. Vitesse are already pleased with the product: their training ground in Papendal is also home to an XtraGrass pitch, with the new pitch to be unveiled to Vitesse fans during their first game against De Graafschap. This latest generation of hybrid turf product not only has the visual attraction of natural grass, but also has the characteristics of synthetic turf: strength, resilience, and high playability requirements at the elite level of sport.
